Preparing for life together
A weekend for your marriage
Pre-Cana takes its name from the Wedding Feast at Cana, where Jesus performed his first public sign and blessed the vocation of marriage with his presence.
The weekend helps engaged couples prepare for marriage as a lifelong sacramental covenant encompassing faith, friendship, communication, intimacy, family life, and shared responsibilities.
Come as a couple
Both engaged partners must attend and participate in the entire weekend. Interfaith and intercultural couples are warmly welcome.
Conducted in English
Because all presentations and discussions are conducted in English, participants must have sufficient fluency to participate fully.

Plan your weekend
Practical details
We will email registered couples a detailed agenda a few weeks before the conference weekend.
Refreshments
Coffee, tea, water, and light refreshments will be available throughout the entire weekend.
Meals
Lunch will be provided on both Saturday and Sunday. Breakfast and dinner are not provided; couples should eat breakfast before arriving each morning and make their own dinner arrangements each evening.
Accommodation
The Pre-Cana program is not an overnight retreat. A limited number of guest rooms may be available separately at the Augustinian House for an additional fee.
Prayer and reflection
Throughout the weekend, couples will also have opportunities for Reconciliation, quiet reflection, and prayer.
